America’s economic prosperity and international dominance is in jeopardy – facing as many internal as external threats. As Wall Street tries to autocratically determine corporate agendas and our Government creates a fake, crony version of capitalism; these restrictions accomplish only two things: hampering productivity and profiting only political and financial elites. In an attempt to regain domestic profitability and self-reliance, we need to pursue sustainable growth and invest in homegrown power and profit.

Through trying times such as the 2008 Financial Crisis and the recent COVID-19 Pandemic, everyday Americans feel the impact of market deficiencies, natural resource mismanagement, and overreliance on foreign entities. These events magnified pre-existing issues and with this new perspective we must ameliorate our national state to ensure bulletproof American prosperity in the future. No American should be faced with water shortages, inaccessible healthcare, power outages, or the inability to find a living wage paying job. Let’s not overcomplicate the fundamental truths and basic human needs of our society. By relocating currently imported production of goods and services to the States, we can fulfill the multifaceted need for domestic stability, local jobs, and sustainable innovation.

Our nation is facing an unprecedented productivity crisis. Millions never returned to work post-COVID, millions are content with meager living on welfare, and millions are discouraged as they see jobs around them – if not their own – shipped to cheaper alternatives overseas. It’s hard for workers to be optimistic about their work when they are treated as line item liability equivalent to a piece of equipment rather than the asset they are as innovative human beings. To America, however, these employees are much more than their corporate utility, but parents, siblings, and members of communities. By providing work-encouraging-wages, asserting that industry needs humanity – not robots or utilitarian machines – and restoring pride in work of the American people, we can make a step towards reestablishing the prosperous resilience even in the face of hardship we once had.

America’s status as a peerless, unrivaled global hegemon has only one threat to it’s established economic success and democratic ideals: the communist People’s Republic of China. China remains the antithesis of America – oppressing citizens for free speech, banning religion, exploiting the work force, and dragging down global humanity to further it’s own profitability and influence. The world suffered after years of research achieved China’s goal of weaponizing a virus otherwise harmless to humans; now, China has its sights set on annexing its democratic neighbor Taiwan. Apart from COVID and themes of violence, the ambition of the CCP is looking to selfishly dominate sectors necessary for human prosperity such as agriculture, intellectual property, and cybersecurity. It’s time to beat China at their own game. Instead of allowing China to undermine the U.S. by creating unproductive monopolies and establishing autocratic regimes in the ashes of peaceful territories, let’s support and defend like-minded states and allow capitalism’s productivity to usher in an age of global prosperity.
